1. SILC (Swiss International Leadership Camp & Academy)

SILC Academy offers adventure summer camps in Gstaad and Laussane that are based on their leadership programs for students 7-17 years old. 

Depending on the location, daily activities might consist of water rafting, alpine hiking, a Glacier expedition, ferrata climbing, zip-lining, and more. Practical skills such as first-aid, crafts, media production, outdoor training, and team challenges are led by expert facilitators.

The programs focus on helping students acquire global skills, such as leadership, communications, entrepreneurship, and goal setting. 

Kids at SILC practice and improve their skills during a fun-filled schedule rather than in classroom settings. All outdoor activities, workshops, and teamwork sessions take place in the glorious and scenic Swiss countryside and Swiss Alps. 

SILC also offers winter and spring break camps while their 1 to 3 week international summer camps take place in June and July. Camps can be attended daily or in residence.

2. Bold Earth Adventures

Bold Earth Adventures offers exciting travel excursions for teenagers. With the Bold Earth philosophy, every child benefits by taking a break from their routine and spending fun and tech-free time in nature.

Summer camps in the gorgeous Swiss Alps allow kids to go beyond their comfort zones and develop life skills such as resilience and responsibility. Each camper gets personal attention in small groups of up to 13 campers with 2 camp leaders.

Bold Earth has two programs in Switzerland. The Alps Adventure takes current 8th-10th graders on a tour through stunning nature in Switzerland, France, and Italy. The adventure starts and ends in Switzerland.

Whether white water rafting in Chamonix on the extraordinary Ave River or during an 8-day hike on the famous Tour du Mont Blanc Trail, kids form tight-knit communities as they move through the experience. The other Bold Earth’s Bold Alps trip welcomes students in 9th through 11th grade for a two-week trip to France and Switzerland too. 

In between hiking, canyoneering, and rock climbing, kids practice working together in teams to plan meals, cook, and clean up their cozy mountain hut camps along the way.

3. LAS (Leysin American School in Switzerland)

Leading educator LAS in Leysin offers summer camps in the picturesque Alps for a summer customized to your child’s choices. LAS’s variety of classes engage kids, including language immersion, tech labs, and dynamic outdoor activities. Kids choose from various topics that change every day if they want.

The schedule of activities and excursions keeps campers excited to learn. Mornings are dedicated to individual pursuits. Afternoons offer ample club time for team sports, tech studies, mountaineering, drama, creative writing, plus cooking and baking.

4. Alaia Camps

Alaia Camps is an adventure program created in the spirit of Alaia, the first surfboards used in Hawaii. Alaia’s mission encourages happiness and confidence in kids through indoor and outdoor action sports. Campers have a ball surfing in the Wavegarden Cove technology wave pool, skydiving, skateboarding in the skate park, trampolining, and more.

Camps take place from July to August at Alaia’s breathtaking alpine campuses based in Lens. Campers will have tons of fun using high-performance equipment at the camps, with expert guidance to up their performance levels.

Free sessions include practice in GoPro video/editing and allow kids to double down on their favorite subjects to further their progress. Alaia fosters team spirit, where campers learn to help each other improve and learn so that everyone has a blast.

Summer day camps and in-residence camps in Crans-Montana and Sion are for kids aged 8 to 17 in 7-day blocks. 

5. Nord Anglia Education

Junior campers (7-11) have set on-campus activities like archery, climbing, language practice, and mountain biking balanced with outside adventures such as a glacier excursion, visiting a medieval castle, or SUP on Lake Geneva.

Senior campers up to 17 years old have more advanced outdoor alpine activities, including camping, rock climbing, and team sports games. Less obvious supervision encourages responsibility and decision-making, allowing older campers to become role models for the younger ones.

7. Lovell Camps

Successful Lovell Camps bring international students together for a time filled with action sports, language study, and cultural experience. Set in the dazzling Swiss Alps, Lovell offers camps by age groups including Juniors (5/6-10/11 years), Seniors (11-15 years), and Leadership Training for 16-17 year olds.

English is the primary language at Lovell’s Schönried village campus near Gstaad, with optional French language study. The lively program for young campers offers sports, water activities, team games, horse riding, fishing, and field trips to the Bern Zoo. 

Senior campers get an age-appropriate version of these activities, plus teen-focused options including disco nights, weekend movies, and shopping, plus outdoor overnight survivor challenges. 

Lovell’s Leadership program teaches professionalism, program planning, and working with children. The knowledge-focused session is balanced with fun weekend excursions and overnight camping and hikes. 

Lovell Camps offers summer sessions in one to three-week blocks, with day or in-residence boarding options.

8. Summer Camp Montana

International Summer Camp Montana, located in lovely Crans-Montana (2 hours outside Geneva), is a well-balanced summer camp of sports, language, and adventure for kids 8-17. They receive around 990 children from over 50 countries each season, so they are well-prepared to handle international students from anywhere. 

International Summer Camp Montana’s world-class facilities offer the perfect setting for a mix of daily activities. Rosenberg Camps located in St. Gallen, Switzerland just outside Zurich, hosts a series of unique and forward-thinking programs that take kids from over 30 countries out of traditional educational settings.
