1. Athena Spain

Athena Spain welcomes students to Andalusia for a dynamic 4-week immersion language program. High schoolers completing 9-12 grade can deepen their fluency through authentic local living.

All students live in homes with carefully selected local families dedicated to helping your child expand their Spanish language skills and learn about their everyday lives. In addition to practicing Spanish, campers have fun with Spanish cooking, Flamenco dance, surfing, and joining in traditional home life.

Along with a half-day of personalized Spanish classes in the mornings five days a week, students enjoy the laid-back village life of Conil de la Frontera. 2. International Summer Camp (ISC) Spain

ISC Spain hosts two incredible summer camps for international students in Alicante and Madrid. The popular camps combine language and leisure activities and are offered in 1-4 week blocks. 

ISC’s Sports Summer Camp takes place in the sunny Mediterranean city of Alicante, where children aged 13-18 focus on their favorite activities, like tennis, volleyball, basketball, and water sports. All camps include 20 hours of Spanish immersion language classes per week, taught by native teachers. There’s also an optional personalized sports program for special focus training.

The Madrid City Camp takes place in Spain’s bustling capital city. Along with daily language study, students visit museums, cultural attractions, theme parks, shopping areas, and neighboring cities. There’s always something exciting to discover with new friends in this historic Spanish city.

Campers will enjoy a comfortable stay in ISC’s excellent air-conditioned and spacious facilities. 

3. Cevantes Escuela International

Cervantes Escuela International offers 1 to 6 week program in Barcelona, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea or in Marbella near the beach. Students 5-18 years old can choose between in-residence and day camps. 

Campers can enjoy the exciting big city environment of Barcelona Centro or can opt for the cheerful seaside atmosphere of Castelldefels, a small town outside of Barcelona.

Mornings are for Spanish language lessons, while afternoons are filled with dynamic sports (SUP, windsurfing, tennis, soccer, sailing), workshops, parties, and other fun activities. All programs include Barcelona day trips for cultural immersion, with time to visit museums and restaurants, plus other historic cities.

Over 60% of students are Spanish, so they have ample opportunity to practice and improve their Spanish language skills with locals. Those who attend the Cervantes Escuela International expand their cultural understanding and learn more about the wider world.

 

4. Lengua Aventura

Lengua Aventura combines exciting adventure sports training with language study for a thrilling educational experience that it’s been providing for more than 20+ years. High school teens between 14-17 years can choose kitesurfing or windsurfing camps that consist of language class time (Spanish or English, according to fluency level) and sports activities.

The beautiful beaches of Tarifa in Andalusia are the classrooms where beginners, intermediate, and advanced students improve their sports skills under industry standards. Expert professionals and top-notch equipment ensure a safe environment for all. 

Lengua Aventura offers group lessons and semi-private activity instruction for their 1-4 week camps for international students. Language classes are held 4 days per week, with lively excursions twice a week. Students live in private boarding school dorm accommodations with no more than 3 same-gender roommates. 

Evenings are free for hanging out with new friends. Campers can bring along a musical instrument if they have one for casual evening entertainment. Lengua Aventura also offers multi-activity group sessions in the pine forests of Andalusia, a circus and a Madrid city camp.

5. El Jarama

While attending an El Jarama Summer Camp students aged 6-16 enjoy learning and living in a close-knit camp community. Camps are held on the expansive El Jarama grounds within a pristine pine-forested area on the Jarama River in Madrid. 

Students can choose their favorite in-residence or day camp by topic and age level. El Jarama offers separate nature, football athletic, and social skills development programs. The English or Spanish-focused immersive camps are provided in one or two-week sessions.

6. Escuela La Playa

Escuela La Playa holds international summer camps in La Cala del Moral, a traditional fishing village outside Malaga in Southern Spain. Kids and teens (4-14 years old) from around the world attend the private school’s popular English and Spanish language camps.

The relaxing, small-town atmosphere is perfect for immersing in the local culture. At Escuela La Playa, classroom study is only 1.5 hours per day, with conversational language practice in real-time during the summer activities.

The Escuela’s seaside location offers swimming, water sports, beach volleyball, SUP, and surfing. Games, workshops, theater, and quizzes round out the dynamic program. Campers can easily make friends and communicate with one another.

8. LAE Kids

LAE Kids Summer Camp is a two-week, 9 am to 1 pm summer day camp thats located in the beautiful Madrid or Malaga. The immersive cultural language camp teaches kids through daily themed classroom activities, like dance, technology, cooking, and animals. Each day also includes age-appropriate activities and games with small groups of 8. 

The Monday-Friday schedule integrates play time in the green areas or beach environments near the schools, where kids practice conversing in Spanish with their peers.
