About Traveling Players
Traveling Players Ensemble offers award-winning theatre camps and acting classes for kids and teens in grades 1–12. Recognized as one of the nation's premier performing arts programs, we specialize in immersive, high-quality theatre camps for the Virginia, Maryland, and DC areas. Our summer programs and year-round acting classes are designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and develop essential performance skills—on stage and off.
Our acclaimed summer theatre programs give students the extraordinary opportunity to stage classical plays in the great outdoors. With expert guidance from professional theatre artists, campers receive top-tier theatrical training while forming lasting friendships and enjoying the beauty of nature. Beyond the summer, Traveling Players offers acting classes for kids and teens throughout the school year. These engaging classes help young performers refine their craft through scene study, improvisation, and acting technique —all while having fun and making new friends.
For over 20 years, Traveling Players has specialized in training pre-teens and teens in the dramatic arts through immersive, hands-on programs. Our Studio is located in Tysons Corner Center (VA), while our sleepaway camps and theatre conservatories are hosted in the scenic Northern Neck of Virginia.
We keep our programs intentionally small—limiting classes to just 13 student actors—and support each group with 2–3 professional directors. This ensures every young performer receives personalized instruction and mentorship. Our thoughtfully designed, age-appropriate curriculum challenges students to grow as artists and individuals, building their confidence, resilience, and creative pride along the way.
