Oakland Feather River Camp

About Oakland Feather River Camp

Since 1924, Feather River Camp has provided an abundance of natural beauty and a getaway unlike any other for Oakland and Bay Area families.

Start with a morning yoga/stretch class or a quiet nature walk. After breakfast try arts and crafts, group games, archery, horseback riding, tie-dye, a hike, or other special programs and activities led by OFRC Program Staff.

Each morning we also offer our Tot Lot Program for potty-trained 2-5 year olds, while 6-14 year olds meet up with our energetic and caring Program Staff and have their own fun and age-appropriate programming, such as Archery, Basketball, Nature Hikes, Field Games, Kickball and more!

Afternoons are family time. Many families like to put on their swimsuits and go for a dip in the swimming hole or go tubing down Spanish Creek. Others grab their book and enjoy some reading at their tent. Others nap, finish their art projects, go on a hike or bike ride, or head into town to explore the local area.

The options are endless! From horseback rides to massages, ping-pong to ice cream from the camp store, the day is yours to spend how you will!

Nighttime programming and activities include game nights, s'mores, ping-pong tournaments, line dancing, the beloved disco bingo, our weekly talent show, and more!

Special activities often occur in the evening as well. The unique physical location of Feather River Camp allows for endless starry views for you and your family to enjoy together.
