About Lengua Aventura

Since 2003, Lenguaventura has welcomed teenagers aged 14-17 from around the world to Tarifa, in southern Spain, for an international summer camp that combines language learning with an active, outdoor lifestyle by the sea.

What began in 1989 as Spanish programs for adults evolved in 2003 into the Lenguaventura Junior Summer Camp for teens aged 14-17.

Each summer, teenagers from over 18 nationalities come together, creating an international environment where Spanish and English are used naturally every day. At the same time, students progress in kitesurfing, windsurfing or wingfoiling.

Lenguaventura was founded by Irene Weiss, originally from Switzerland, who has called Tarifa home for many years. Since 2010, she has been joined by Adrian Lago, a Madrid-born educator now based in Edinburgh. Adrián began his journey at Lenguaventura as a camp leader and today oversees group leaders, activities and daily operations.

Together, they make sure everything runs smoothly and that students feel comfortable and well looked after from the moment they arrive. The focus is on creating an environment where teenagers can settle in quickly, enjoy their time and gain confidence along the way.
