About Kimama Halfmoon
Camp Kimama Halfmoon is a traditional sleepaway summer camp with two and three week sessions. Sleepaway camp includes room and board in our cozy wooden bunks, three full meals and endless snacks daily, not to mention a variety of awesome activities. At sleepaway camp, we value creating a home away from home, creating moments and memories that campers never forget.
Kimama Halfmoon is proud to offer a diversified program in sports, arts and enrichment areas. It is our goal to involve campers in a variety of activities, therefore activities are chosen by each camper on a weekly basis.
Our program emphasizes instruction above high competition. Campers are given time to practice and are encouraged to recognize all improvements as a measurement of success.
Camp Halfmoon is open to campers ages 6 - 17. Campers are divided into groups we call families according to each child's grade.
Campers are divided into bunks that sleep between 8 and 16 campers, depending on size. Counselors are designated to every cabin, and cabins are divided by gender.
We offer additional field trips for campers to experience a world outside of camp. White water rafting, amusement parks, and local attractions to name a few. Our special intersession trip takes us to New York City, Washington DC, and a national park are just a few examples!
