Camp Waukeela lies in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, next to Crystal Lake. Their gorgeous campus lets campers experience the joys of friendship in an inclusive environment where campers ages 7-16 can grow together.
They have activities covering watersports, landsports, creative arts, performing arts, and outdoor adventures. They also have additional programs campers can specifically sign up for like horseback riding, rock climbing, and a tennis program. They have a special day every week where a fun theme is played out, which can include movie recreations, monster hunts, fun workshops, and much more.
This 45-acre campus allows kids to get up close and personal with nature in a no-technology environment. Every week, kids are encouraged to share and reflect on their experiences to help capture the impact that Camp Waukeela has on them. Girls will stay in cabins with 4 or 5 other friends and under the supervision of a camp counselor. On a routine basis, campers all get together at the dining room to eat with one another and sing songs and laugh together.
Parents can sign up their kids for an introductory 2-week program for first-time campers or longer 3.5 and 7-week sessions. Transportation from the Boston or Portland airport is available.
