About Camp Robin Hood

Set on 180 acres just minutes from New Hampshire’s White Mountain National Forest, Camp Robin Hood is more than just an overnight summer camp—it is a tradition, a legacy, and a home. Since 1927, Robin Hood has provided an encouraging, inviting, and supportive summer environment for our campers. That environment is created in large part by our caring and attentive staff, composed almost entirely of young men and women who grew up as campers in the Robin Hood community. Understanding the enduring positive influence of the Robin Hood experience, our staff members return to camp each summer eager to provide that same experience for our next generation of campers.

Since the 1940s, Camp Robin Hood has been owned and directed by former campers. We are proud to continue that nearly seventy-five year tradition. With more than 250 combined summers at Camp Robin Hood, our Leadership Team understands the unique responsibility of preserving the Robin Hood experience that shaped us each as individuals, and we are dedicated entirely toward providing that same experience for our campers.

A typical day at Camp Robin involves five distinct Activity Periods. Three of these are elective periods where campers participate in activities they’ve chosen for themselves; two periods are non-elective periods, which are activities such as team sports clinics and instructional swimming lessons that the whole group participates in together. Campers may also choose an intensive which can be athletic or non-athletic. These are designed for more advanced or specific instruction and are held weekly.

A unique schedule of elective and non-elective activity periods combined with spectacular facilities sets the tone for Robin Hood’s Activities and Program.

Monday – Saturday the campers have 5 periods/per day. The 2 Activity Periods in the AM are Intensives; the campers and their parents select them in the spring, usually an activity in which they have a have a special interest or a sport they will be trying out for when they return home. The 3 afternoon activity periods are a combination of choice/elective periods and activities the entire group does together, ie. Instructional Swim and Team Sports.
