About Camp Bighorn

Camp Bighorn, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in 1985 by Converge Northwest, a movement of churches working to help people meet, know, and follow Jesus. The following statements are built on a long history of discipleship, providing clarity and guidance for all activities at Camp Bighorn with the goal that life-changing adventures will continue here for generations to come.

Adventure is any experience that contains an element of the unknown. Bighorn designs trips, programs, camps, and retreats that take advantage of unique physical locations that provide space for individuals to confront challenges.

Genuine relationships celebrate individual uniqueness and the opportunity to be open with others. Bighorn places an emphasis within its programming around small groups as we seek to develop empathy.

Asking questions, exploring options, and sharing perspectives bring about deeper understandings of ourselves and of God as our teacher. Bighorn is intentional with embracing challenge and struggle to provide opportunity for continued learning and growth.

In all that we do, we seek to develop habits that integrate our thoughts and our actions to center our lives with Christ. These habits root our identity of being in Christ, strengthen each person as a Christ follower, and tie the individual to the body of Christ.
